Recap: Celtics end losing streak in Atlanta 94-87

The Celtics were down by 10 in the 4th quarter, but they took a page from the Pacers after last nights game and the C's put on the defensive clamps. Jordan Crawford was Mr.4th quarter tonight with 10 points in the quarter. Crawford finished with 12 points and 10 assists. All five starters scored in double figures tonight. Green had 16, Bradley had 12, Bass had a team-high 17 points, and Sullinger was solid with 15 points and 9 rebounds.

Rondo Ravings: Solid Gold

I only have twitter quotes to go by so far, as I try to get a sense of what happened on Celtics media day, but judging by what I read on Twitter, Rondo sounds like a man who is finally truly coming into his own.

How a guy in Rondo's situation handles the media spotlight is a basic, but important thing.   By itself, how Rondo handles the media pressure doesn't tell us if Rondo can shoot better, or how his knee is doing,  but it can tell us something abo...

All summer long we have had to listen to the 'wise ones' explain patiently to us that the smart thing for the Celtics to do next season is tank.  A key element to the tanking 'strategy' thus offered is invariably  either to trade Rondo, or to delay his return as long as possible.  Some smart alecks are now even calling for Rondo to miss the entire season next year!

Rondo Ravings: Low Profile

Because of Rondo's injury, it's been difficult to write about him this summer.  We do not know when he will return, and we cannot know what sort of player he will be then, and we don't know if he will come back to the Celtics, and we don't know how well he will fit in if he does come back.  Trying to figure out what has happened over the past few months feels a bit like reading tea leaves, as the loudest comments seem to be coming from those whose words are tailored to their agendas...
