No Rondo tonight, and now win tonight. The Celtics played with no heart, and no spirit. I didn't give up on this team last year, even when they started 15-17. I think this road trip has taken the wind out of my sail. The Celtics are not built to win now. They were that team last season. This year we have Pierce shooting 4-of-20 from the field against the Warriors. Of course Pierce has been amazing this season, but not consistent much like the Celtics as a team.
This year we don't have any bar fights, and we don't have any moral victories. What we have are spineless, and heartless losses. The Celtics are 15-16 now,and one loss away from last years 15-17 start. I'm very disappointed.
Without Rondo, the Celtics offered little resistance. The Warriors shot 51.4 percent from the floor, couldn't miss beyond the arc, and crushed Boston's confidence with every made jumper. Golden State scored a mere 24 points in the paint (the Celtics had 30), which shows just how effective they were with their spot-up shooting. Golden State turned the ball over 18 times (for 22 points) and it didn't even matter. The Warriors led by as much as 22 and were never in danger of letting this one get away from them.
When you look at the East the Celtics could make a run, but when you look at the big picture. The Celtics can't win a title with this team. The talent that Danny put together were paper champions in the summer, but the reality is that their not what we want them to be.
