Pierce "defense good enough to win" "execution poor"

I was upset with Pierce. He was lazy on the last play with the Celtics down 89-86. He tried to catch the ball with one hand, and you know the rest. Paul was excellent in the first half after he was snubbed as an All-Star reserve. He put up 19 points, and he was out stagging Melo. In the second half Melo killed it, and Paul just killed. Lebron said Pierce was snubbed as an All-Star, but I hate to say it. He's not All-Star worthy. The Celtics are an 8th seed, and I would have to say so many others were snubbed. The Bucks didn't send Monta Ellis, or Jennings to the game. They have a better record than the Celtics, and both are having better seasons.

Pierce feels like the defense needs to catch up with the offense. The defense has been stronger, but the offense much like every season seems to be lost. So much fire power, but not used correctly. I think the offensive issue that the Celtics have is not the biggest issue. The energy that lacks from game-to-game.

Pierce isn't done. But he can't necessarily be the primary option all the time, especially down the stretch. Rondo is our key offensive player. We have other guys too who have a lot to offer they haven't been able to show yet. Peirce played well yesterday in stretches. Really well. The one pass from him to Rondo was brilliant, in fact. He seemed tired at the end.
