The Celtics went into the 4th down 10 points 79-69. Within the first two minutes the Celtics exploded on a 10-0 run to tie the game 79-79. Barbosa put on a 4th quarter show. Leandro Barbosa added 14 points for the game, and 12 of those came in the 4th. When the Celtics were down 10 heading into the 4th I thought the Celtics were the Celtics again. But they ramped up the defense out scoring the Raptors 30-16 in the 4th quarter.
Kevin Garnett scored a season-high 27 points on 11-of-18 shooting to go along with 10 rebounds as the Celtics rallied from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to win their fifth straight. KG, and Pierce have had a few turn back the clock type games throughout the 2013 season. KG picked a great night to do so. He was a beast inside the paint, and I hope he bring that tomorrow against the short handed Lakers.
Paul Pierce looked sluggish with his shot (2-of-11), but finished with 12 points, a team-high 11 rebounds, and 6 assists over a team-high 37 minutes of action. He seems to be doing everything else, but his shot is still not right. The 4th quarter deficit that Boston faced seemed like the biggest test since Rondo's injury. They were on the road, and they could have folded against the younger, and more active Raptors. Gutsy win by the Celtics.
