Rondo's season will be known to me as the lost season. His season still had some career highlights. The steak set him apart from most of his peers. But it also branded him a selfish stat junky.During Rondo's streak, he was ejected for rouging up Kris Humphries of the Nets. With the ejection, Rondo's 37-game streak of at least 10 assists was snapped, keeping him tied with John Stockton for the second-longest run in NBA history (and short of Magic Johnson's 46-game record).
I thought Rondo's decision to back up teammate Kevin Garnett showed how unselfish he was. He could have let what happened go to keep his streak alive. But Rondo took a chance, and he was trying to be the best teammate he could be. What Rondo did was a bit much, but it was another learning experience for Rondo. In the 2012-13 season Rondo had five triple-doubles through 38 games played, and he will end the 2012-13 season as the leader, and he will also take home his second assists crown. His second in a row. Rondo just made the 400 assist minimum. Rondo averaged 11.1 assist per game, and Rondo added two 20 assist performances under his belt.
This season hasn't been easy for Rondo fans. From the haters, to more trade rumors. Rondo won me over a long time ago. I can't wait for his return. I'm nervous, worried, and full of emotions about his return. Will he be the same player, that's my concern. Knowing Rondo, he'll be even better.
