Meet Keith Bogans, and his hate to lose attitude

Posted by shawn cassidy on July 16, 2013 at 5:15 AM

I feel like Bogans would have been a perfect fit a few years ago when the Celtics were in need of more players with fire,or ready for a 'bar fight' kind of moments. Bogans has come on strong already, and it was hard to ignore what he was saying during Monday's press conference, and during his interview with Celtics.com.

Keith gets the NBA, and he gets his skill set and what he's able to bring to a team. He knows he's not a star, and he doesn't want to try to be one. He's a team guy, and he sounds like he will help Rondo along his journey. His contract had to be (5 million per yer) for the Pierce thing to work in this deal, and it helped the Celtics earn the $10.3 million trade exception in the big trade. All that aside, he played ball at Kentucky, and that could be a good thing for the fact that Rondo played there as well, and they connect because they have something in common.

Another thing about Keith is his nonsense approach of this tanking B.S that many fans, and some media guys(Bill Simmons) hope for. This team has a chip on their shoulder. I don't see banner 18, but I see something special in year one of the chase of getting back on track for banner 18.

Is this our new Rondo Whisperer?!

And Keyon, where are you?

I like his attitude. Some of the quotes I saw in print made me think "oh crap, another Jason Freaking Terry", but when you watch him talk, he sounds sincere.

He sounds like a good dude,we shouldn't get to attached to him. He'll be gone at some point.

Sounds like he can really help, though. Like he is already in a good relationship with Rondo.

Bogans is just a professional. He'll help us out I think by being a consistent player and bringing some more defense on the wing and he's another enforcer. It doesn't seem like rondo will be getting beat up this year as often as years past and if he does it seems like we will retaliate which we rarely have done in years past.

He's an enforcer too?!! YAYYYYYYYYYY! My god, I am so sick of watching Rondo getting beat up. I hope we can keep Wallace, because we have GOT to have a couple of guys who will let opposing teams know about it if they beat up on Rondo. Last year, Rondo was our enforcer!!!!!
