Jeff Green has slowly turned a corner, but it kinda goes along with Brad Stevens mindset with his team right now. They can't put together a 48 minute game of basketball. The Celtics trailed 22-9 in the first quarter, and this is a pattern that has been noticed with fans, and the Celtics.
The Celtics want to become a team that makes the right plays down the stretch, they must first establish who they are going to compete like on a night-in, night-out basis, along with who is the guy until Rondo returns, and who will aid him once he comes back.
Back-to-back losses on the road, each by two points is a start for some concern, or it's just two losses that came during the preseason. I think the Celtics have shown signs of being a playoff team, and that's without Rondo right now. With Rondo this team makes the playoffs. But the focus is on putting together a game for 48 minutes, no more, no less.
"We have to become a 48-minute team instead of 38-minute team," Stevens said. "We're pretty good for 38 minutes. We have to maintain that focus and level of play through that."
