Recap: Pierce and KG win in return, 85-79

This wasn't the prettiest game of the year, but it had some touching moments in the first quarter, and before the game when the Garden gave KG and Pierce a proper salute. As for the game, both teams struggled to score the ball. The Celtics scored 17 points in the first, and in the second combing for a season low 34 points in the first half. The Celtics shot a dismal 37% from the field, and Jeff Green for a second game in a row has been a no show.

He was the biggest miss of night with 2-of-13 shooting for 8 points. The Celtics and Nets battled back and forth in the first half, but as the second half started the Nets went up by 10 or 11 points a couple of times.

The Celtics would rally, and in the 4th Rajon Rondo showed some glimpses of what he can do. Speaking of Rondo, he put in his highest minutes total of the season with 30, and his stat line was Rondo like. He had a near triple-double, with 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. As for the old Celtics duo, they struggled for most of the night, but they both had clutch moments in the end to give the Nets the win 85-79. Paul hit a big step back elbow jumper, and KG had the key steal with the Celtics down 80-77 with less than 30 seconds to go.

I saw a lot of bad things in this one, but one thing is for certain. Danny Ainge needs to keep Chris Johnson. He scored 12 points off the bench, and he's all over the place out there. Rondo showed flashes, perhaps his best game, no it was his best game, other then that, the other struggled.
